Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey says his stay with the Black Stars has been a ‘joy ride’ so far.

The Norway born made his Ghana debut last October and has gone on to cement his place as first choice in the side after for this competition.

His present stay with the Black Stars stretching back to the camping period in Rustenburg has been the longest and he says it has been an absolute delight.

“It’s an honour to play for this team. Even though I don’t speak any of the languages the guys have been great and I have really enjoyed myself. It’s been a joy ride and I am having a lot of fun,” he said.

Kwarasey is hoping that joy ride will end in Ghana being crowned African champions but says the field is too wide open to call.

“There are a lot of teams who can win it including us. We just have to live a day at a time,” he added.
