Eric Bekoe

Asante Kotoko?s publicist Listowell Yesu Bukerson says it is not too late for striker Eric Bekoe to rejoin the Red Army.

Until last Tuesday, there was every indication that the former Petrojet forward was returning to the club that shot him to the lime light, Kotoko.

He completed all medical requirements until it emerged that the contract had fallen through and it was widely speculated in the media that the former Ghana top scorer?s move to Kotoko had collapsed.

But Bukerson stated that the player could return depending on the stand of his managers.

?The managers of Bekoe returned to Kotoko to request fresh negotiations after we had come to a consensus which favoured both parties regarding the player?s contract,? he said on Happy FM.

He added that ?management decided to decline to the fresh demands.

?I must state here that Kotoko is not desperate for any single player, or no individual player is bigger than Kotoko. We have a lot of responsibilities like going to Africa to make an impact, preparing for the Super Two against Hearts and defending the league title so we wouldn?t allow such issues to derail the club from its focus.?

He however stated that the doors of the Porcupine Warriors were still open to the player should his managers return to comply with the terms of the initial contract.

Meanwhile, Bukerson has revealed that Ahmed Toure, who has taken a French leave, remains a Kotoko player until December and cannot sign for any club without the club?s consent.

He pointed out that the player and his managers had already embarked on an alleged dubious move to secure him a club, which according to the PRO, contravened the terms of the contract.
