A resolute Keta Sunset Sports side thrilled fans and sponsors present at the Beach Soccer Arena in La with a scintillating performance in the CAL Bank Beach Soccer Premier League. Sunset strode to a comfortable 8-0 victory over East Legon Sharks.

The introduction of new team manager, Kofi Nimo, a former national U-17 World Cup winner, could not save East Legon from receiving a sounding trouncing. Micheal Sema continued his impressive goal scoring prowess with a hat-trick for Sunset. Fabio Azaletey, Julius Ceasar, Senyo Awutey, Newlove Doe and Wilson Tonyewonya all scored a goal each to complete the scores.

Elsewhere local side Wuo Gbee built on their impressive victory over Havedzi Mighty Warriors last week by beating last placed Osu Dolphins 5-0. Richard Osa sent a big message to other players contesting for the goal king award by scoring all five goals.

Meanwhile, neighbours Layoca slumped to another defeat after Dansoman BSC beat them by 5-1. A brace for Solomon Sackey followed Eric Nkansah’s hat-trick was more than enough to seal the victory for Dansoman even though Isaac Ofori scored a consolation for Layoca.

Havedzi Mighty Warriors recovered from their shock defeat on Match Day 14 by edging past Ada Assurance 4-2. Aziz Kofi scored twice before Benedict Kabu and Jerry Eglu added one each for Warriors. Joseph Larweh and Simon Sossi, however, were the scorers for Assurance.

In the second-tier league sponsored by Clementia Contacto, Teshie United boosted their chances of joining the Premier League next season with a 2-1 victory over rivals Nungua BSC in the top of the table clash. Captain Ishmael Mensah and Roland Yemofio put Teshie 2-0 up. Nungua pulled one back later on through Meshach Akueteh but Teshie hung on to victory.

In the other game of the division, Tornado Skillsman’s extraordinary performance for Golden Eagles was not enough to hand them victory as Sammy-Heywood Okine’s Chockor Blue Whales defeated them 6-4. Tornado Skillsman who is related to former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah scored all four goals for Golden Eagles. Kingsley Addo (2), Savior Tamakloe, Robert Saba, Wilmot Mingle and Daniel Appiah were the scorers for Blue Whales.
