The vice presidential nominee of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has lashed out at the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for ‘looting and sharing’ State monies amongst his families and cronies at the expense of tax payers.

Dr Bawumia bemoaned the spate at which state money has been doled out to beleagured businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome without any contract with government.

He wondered why government has given him another contract when he still owes the country huge amount describing it as the most corrupt government in the history of Ghana.

Dr Bawumia said the NDC government is only noted for creating, looting and sharing State resources questioning why it collapsed the economy after given the resources that surpasses successive governments.

Juxtaposing erstwhile Kufuor administration to Mahama-led NDC government, he said the former practiced economics whiles the latter has been practising ‘Woyomenomics’.

‘Whilst NPP knew what economics meant and practised proper economic management with little amount of money under former president Kufuor’s administration, under the 8 years of NDC government under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, what they have been practising is ‘Woyomenomics’ and not economics, they have been practising ‘Woyomenomics’ and not economics. This is the reason they are focusing on creating, looting and sharing, and with ‘Woyomenomics’, you have it there,’ he fumed.

He promised that the new NPP government will build a new economy that will be the most business and people friendly economy in Africa.

Speaking during the party’s final mammoth rally at the International Trade Fair Centre in  Accra on Sunday, he said the December 7 polls is a choice between  corruption and incorruptibility adding that the country needs a leader who has a vision and not the one ‘who cannot think far’.

He encouraged the electorate not to disperse from the polling station after voting but be there till the votes are counted calling on them to vote massively for Nana Addo and the party to win power and vote out incompetent Mahama’s government out.

‘…the people of Ghana face a stuck choice and it’s a choice between competence and incompetence, it is a choice between corruption and incorruptibility, it is a choice between a man of vision and a man who cannot think far, it is a choice about the future of this country and we have to go to the polls on December 7, and leave nothing to chance, all of us have to go and vote, and stay there and count the ballots, until Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is declared the President of Ghana.

We need change because over the last 8 years, this NDC government most recently the last four years under the leadership of President John Mahama has demonstrated without any question, that they are the most corrupt government in the history of this country and a very incompetent at that..,’ he pointed out.
