FC Barcelona and Sevilla have confirmed an agreement for the Barca striker Munir El Haddadi to join the Andalusian club.

The FC Barcelona website explains that Sevilla will pay just over a million euros (1 euro = 1.14 US dollars) to sign the 23-year-old, who was out of contract at the end of the current season.

The press had previously reported that Munir had signed an agreement to join Sevilla when that contract expired at the end of June, but with Sevilla looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the second part of the campaign and Barca looking to cut their losses, the deal has gone through now.

Munir has played 392 minutes for the Barca first team this season, scoring 2 goals and has scored 12 goals in 56 appearances for the club.

The forward spent last season on loan with Alaves where he netted an impressive 14 goals in 37 games.

Barcelona may now look at the transfer market themselves as they look to find back-up for Luis Suarez and Leo Messi, with Chelsea’s want-away Alvaro Morata a possible target. Enditem
