sokoban csrBank of Africa Ghana Limited (BOA) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has donated some items to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to support KMA?s sanitation program in Sokoban, the Wood Village of Kumasi.

 

The donated items included wheelbarrows, rakes, spades and protective gear such as gloves and other related sanitation tools.

 

The purpose of the donation is to encourage quarterly clean up exercise of the BoA??Sokoban enclave where the bank operates??its branches.

 

Mr. Ishaque Coffie, Regional Manager for outstation branches of the bank, said the bank???elieves there is a relationship between a healthy community and business growth and that the Bank of Africa Ghana was happy to make this donation of items to facilitate the cleanliness of the enclave.

 

Reverend Fugah, the chief of the Sokoban Wood Village, expressed his gratitude to officials of Bank of Africa Ghana.

 

He said , ?We are most grateful to Bank of Africa Ghana for this gesture. Indeed, they have proven themselves to be the pacesetters that they are, by coming to our aid.?

 

Representatives from the bank included staff of the Sokoban Branch headed by their manager, Mr. Ishaque Coffie an the Regional Manager for outstation branches, Mr. Osei Hyeaman. Other representatives from the bank?s Head Office included staff of its Sales Co-ordination Department, Mr. Stephen Sowah and Mr. Frank Ampofo as well as a member of staff of the Marketing and Corporate Communications Department, Elaine Fynn.

 

Mr. Adu Afful, administrator of the KMA ,??some??leaders of the Sokoban Wood Village led by Mr. Kwasi Amedonu , Goldstreet Real Estate Consult??received the items on behalf of the enclave.

Bank of Africa Ghana has recently engaged in other CSR activities such as adopting a house of orphans at the SOS Children?s Village in Tema, donating to Accra Polytechnic in support of their 12th?Congregation as well as sponsoring the 25th?Biennial Conference of the Ghana Science Association.
