Azam FC

The only fixture that would involve the team to move outside of their base is against Police Dodoma scheduled for April 14.

The team plays their 21st round match against Ruvu Shooting tomorrow before hosting Ruvu JKT on April 1.

They host Mtibwa Sugar three weeks after their last match at home to Ruvu Shooting on April 21.

Azam entertain Toto Africa on April 29 before winding up the league against Kagera Sugar on May 5.

With 41 points to their collection ahead of this weekend’s fixture, Azam are three points adrift of pacemakers Simba.

Winning all of their six remaining matches would keep the team close to the title podium but still will bank on other results.

The match between archrivals Simba and Young Africans on May 5 would be a decisive for the ice-cream makers.

The permutations involved are complex but a draw for the archrivals might work for them to cruise into title podium should they maintain winning streak up to the final match.

Azam are through with matches against Simba and Yanga as they focus on winning maiden title since joining the premiership berth during the 2008/9 season.

Only six teams out of the 14 in the premiership fleet have an opportunity to fight for the title.

Besides Yanga, Simba and Azam, the other three include JKT Ruvu, Oljoro JKT and Mtibwa Sugar.

The JKT teams of Oljoro and Ruvu have an opportunity to hit a ceiling of 45 points, just one above Simba.

Mtibwa Sugar is ten points adrift of leaders Simba and has a ceiling to attain 52 points should they win all of their six matches on the fixture.

The rest of the eight teams have to fight for survival as five have a serious battle to fight against relegation.

The five teams include bottom-placed Police Dodoma, Villa Squad, Toto Africa, Moro United and African Lyon.
