Al Shabab SC midfielder Ernest Paa Ohene is optimistic of his side chances against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in the Arabian Gulf Cup Championship First Leg match on Sunday.
“Al Hilal are very good. We expect a win or at least draw, we have what it takes to win away. Its a tough match but a win or a point will be ok for us, Ohene told Newsghana.com.gh.
Ohene, 26, will be making his debut in the Arabian Cup since joining the Barka based club in August 2016 after some outstanding performances at Salalah FC.
He recently renewed his contract with the Oman based club, keeping him until 2019.
Al Shabab SC arrived in Riyadh on Thursday Evening ahead of the First Leg clash on Sunday at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh at 18:30 local time.
Scottish Premier League club Hibernian FC have completed the a season-long loan deal for Ghanaian International Thomas Agyepong from English Premier League Manchester City FC.
The 21-year old attacker is awaiting the outcome of his work permit application before making his official debut for the Hibs.
Agyepong has previously played on loan for Dutch clubs, Twente and NAC Breda.
Agyepong made his debut for the Ghana in a 5–0 win over Ethiopia on 11 June 2017.
He has made five international appearances for Ghana.
Spanish La Liga outfit Levante UD have captured Ghanaian International Raphael Dwamena on a 4-year deal contract bringing to an end his one-year stay at FC Zurich. Dwamena signs for fee in region of £5.58m, News Ghana understand.
The centre-forward scored a total of 21 goals in 51 games at FC Zurich during his stay.
The former Liefering forward won the 2016–17 Swiss Challenge League and 2017–18 Swiss Cup with FC Zurich.
He was on the radar of English side Brighton & Hove Albion after failing to sign him in the January transfer due to fitness concerns.
Dwamena made his international debut on the 11 June 2017 in an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia, where he scored a brace.
Raphael has earned a total of 3 appearances with Ghana Senior National Team (The Black Stars) with 2 goals.
Oman Professional club, Al Shabab SC have extended the contract of Ghana international midfielder Ernest Paa Ohene on a season deal, keeping him at the club until May 2019.
Ohene has been one of the star performers for the Oman club. His current contract was due to run out in May 2018.
” I received a call from my agent that the club has taken the decision to extend my contract. He ask me to think about the decision because a lot of offers from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia were coming through.”

Ohene played youth football at S.K, Fresh FC before heading to USK Rubin Donetsk in Ukraine.
He was signed by Al Shabab SC after a debut season in the Omani league with Salalah Club in 2016.
Ghana defender Samuel Kojo Abbey says he was satisfied with the performance they exhibited against Mountain Lion in the final game of the 2017/2018 Myanmar National League II season at the Padonmar Stadium, Yangon on Friday.
“We fought hard this season, though we aimed at winning the League this season, but am satisfied with everything we did this season and thank God for a successful end, We won one of the best side in Myanmar today.” Abbey said.
