TEHRAN — Four terrorists belonging to the Islamic State (IS) were killed in clashes with Iranian security forces in the west of the country, Iran’s Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi said on Tuesday.
One of the killed terrorists was the regional commander of the IS group, Alavi was quoted as saying by official IRNA news agency. (Iran-IS)

DAMASCUS — After a long truce, clashes erupted Tuesday between the Syrian army and armed rebels in a western town of the capital Damascus, eye witnesses told Xinhua.

ALGIERS — Algerian state energy group Sonatrach, in partnership with its Chinese and Thai counterparts, has completed the drilling work of a key oil well in the south of the country, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
