It appealed to political actors to maintain continuing dialogue in order to ensure inclusive policy in the West African country.

Roch Marc Christian Kabore, candidate of the People’s Movement for Progress (MPP), won the presidential election with 53.49 percent of the ballots, according to the general provisional results disclosed by the National Independent Electoral Commission (CENI).

The presidential election was organized following President Blaise Compaore’s resignation in October 2014 amid popular insurrection against his attempt to stand for a new term after 27 years on power.

It is coupled with general elections. They were expected to end a one year transition regime, restore democratic order and provide the West African country with new legitimate authorities. Enditem
