A new digital platform designed to empower young Africans and Europeans debuted on 23 July 2025.
The AU-EU Youth Voices Lab App, developed through a €7 million EU-funded initiative, enables cross-continental networking, skills training, and advocacy coordination. Youthmakers Hub led its co-creation with over 10,000 young contributors refining features via feedback mechanisms.
This free mobile application offers certified courses in multiple languages, offline functionality, and tools for low-data usage. Its integrated Opportunity Desk connects users with youth organizations and international partners, while learning resources aim to strengthen community impact projects. Social media integration facilitates campaign amplification across both continents.
The four-year program (2024-2028) involves consortium partners including Oxfam International and Search for Common Ground. Designed explicitly for grassroots youth engagement, the app supports the “Power of the Collective” initiative’s goal to foster inclusive policy dialogue between Africa and Europe.
Available on Android and iOS platforms, the tool targets enhanced youth participation in societal development. Silvia Diazzi of Youthmakers Hub confirmed its launch aligns with the AU-EU Digital for Development strategy, noting: “This responds directly to young people’s demand for accessible advocacy channels.”
