Atlantic Catering has become Ghana’s first full-service catering company to join the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), committing to align its operations with international sustainability standards.
The Accra-based firm formally signed the agreement on June 11, 2025, during a ceremony attended by UNGC Ghana representatives and company leadership.
The UNGC network promotes corporate responsibility across human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, while supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals. Tolu Lacroix, Executive Director of UNGC Ghana, noted: “Atlantic Catering’s participation demonstrates how businesses can drive ethical, future-focused operations.”
Through its CARES initiative, the company is implementing UNGC principles via waste reduction, ethical sourcing, and staff welfare programs. CEO Maud Lindsay-Gamrat stated: “True hospitality means caring for people, communities, and the planet. This partnership extends our existing values.” The announcement coincides with World Environment Month, highlighting Atlantic Catering’s pledge to reduce environmental impact in Ghana’s hospitality sector.
The move positions Atlantic Catering among global businesses using their operations to advance sustainable development in local markets.
