Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency Kennedy Agyapong has made a U-turn by condemning Delta Force for attacking a Kumasi Circuit Court after defending the uproarious activities by the group weeks ago.

About 40 members of the group stormed the court and freed their colleagues who were on trail for assaulting the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator George Adjei.

An incensed lawmaker described the act as ‘disgraceful’ saying he regrets championing their cause of warning the police and government not to ‘dare arrest’ any member of the group’.

“These boys protected the ballot boxes from being stolen during the elections. I would personally lead demonstrations against the NPP and Kan Dapaa, if anyone dares put any of the Delta Force guys on trial. Nana Addo didn’t win easily; we fought and these boys were at the war front when they were fighting,” he cautioned.

But in a sharp condemnation on an Accra-based Oman FM he asked the escapees to turn themselves in to the police saying they cannot take the law into their hands and that he was not going to support them again.
