A marauding Asante Kotoko side on Sunday ravaged visiting AshantiGold 4-1 in the First Capital Plus Premier League match day 20 at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.

Speedster Richard Mpong set the tone for the demolition exercise, scoring the first goal for the Porcupine Warriors in 10 minutes with a connection to Issah Yakubu?s in-swinger.

Ashgold stepped up their game and fetched the equalizer in the 34th minute, courtesy Emmanuel Osei who sneaked past the Kotoko defence to rattle home a rebound after goalkeeper Joe Addo punched into play a Mumuni Shafiu thunderbolt.

Kotoko resumed the second half a tranformed side doubled the advantage in 58th minutes through skipper Mike Akuffo.

It was a beautiful goal by all standards as the Kotoko skipper blasted home a 30-yarder free-kick after Seidu Bancey was fouled.
Bancey increased the goal tally to three in the 61st minute as he outjumped Ashgold goalkeeper Robert Dabuo in a goalmouth scramble to head home.

The Kotoko striker was on target again in the 85th minute, scoring the fourth goal from the spot-kick after desperate Lawrence Lartey handled the ball in the penalty box. GNA
