Ashford Tetteh Oku is the acting Hearts CEO

By Patrick Akoto

Ashford Tetteh Oku will act as Hearts boss until a substantive Chief Executive is appointed.

The long-standing administrative manager will act in that capacity following the resignation of Fred Crentsil.

The astute football administrator has opted not to seek a renewal of his mandate after he was elected as the vice president of the Ghana Football Association.

His contract runs out on October 4 and the club has set in motion to find his successor.

? He (Fred Crentsil) has indicated that he will not be working with the club again,? PRO Muheeb Saeed told Kumasi-based Fox FM

?As we speak he has travelled out of the country and so Ashford Tetteh Oku will act as the Chief Executive until the board appoints a substantive one.

?At the management level, he is the experienced man available. He will continue to supervise the day-to-day administration of the club.?

The former Sekondi Hasaacas Director came under lot of flak from a section of their supporters for his failure to win the Premier League crown during his  two-year stint with the club.

He was also heavily criticized for doing little to enhance the corporate brand of the 2000 African champions.

His inability to land big sponsors to rival that of rivals Kotoko was seen as a massive failure.

Ex-King Faisal boss Vincent Sowah Odotei has strongly been linked with the vacant position.
