The Ashanti Regional Police Command has put a reward amount of GH?2,000 each on the heads of four friends who are alleged to have shot and killed the security man of C. Woermann Company Limited.

The command has assured the public of protection if they voluntarily give information that will lead to the arrest of the criminals.

The wanted persons are Bonti Killer, alias Wunda, the one who is alleged to have shot the deceased; Nana Yaw, alias West; Kwame Sasraku, and Dragno.

The deceased, Kwame Antwi, was last Friday shot and killed by unknown assailants at Ashtown, a Kumasi suburb.

Speaking at a press conference, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye said that although there had not been any arrest, the police, through investigations, had been able to establish that it was one Bonti who took a gun and shot the deceased.

He added that on the day of the incident, at about 5.30pm, the deceased was in the company of his friends ? Richard Owusu, Richard Wiafe, Patrick Sarpong and Kofi Kwarteng ? at a ?pito? bar at Ashtown. After having their drinks, they were accosted by two young men from a drinking spot called Sweet Mother; the young men attacked the deceased and his friends.

Five others, he said, on the side of the two joined in the attack, including one Kwame Sasraku, a goldsmith apprentice who lives at Ashtown.

The assailants insulted and physically assaulted the deceased and his friends. One of them shot the deceased in the head and later joined a waiting taxi.

DCOP Kofi Boakye assured the residents in the region that no criminal would go scot free, adding that the perpetrators of the crime would be arrested and brought to book.
