Referee Sucker?s final whistle marked the beginning of violence by the home supporters.

First they rushed on the referees and when they realized that the police and military men would not tolerate such acts, they turned their attention on members of Team Kotoko some of whom were still on the pitch chatting with friends.

They quickly run for shelter in the team bus and as the bus tried making its way out of the stadium, stones started flying in from all angles.
