SANAA — At least 40 people were killed or wounded late on Sunday when air strikes by the Saudi-led coalition hit a wedding ceremony in Yemen’s northwestern province of Hajjah, local authorities said.

ASUNCION — Mario Abdo Benitez, the candidate from Paraguay’s ruling Colorado Party, won the presidential election on Sunday, data released by the country’s election tribunal showed.

TRIPOLI — The Libyan navy said Sunday that it has recovered the bodies of 11 migrants and rescued 283 others off the country’s western coast in separate operations.
“A coast guard patrol recovered the bodies of 11 illegal migrants and rescued 83 others who were on a rubber boat about 5 miles (8 km) off Sabratha coast,” spokesman Ayob Qassem told Xinhua. (Libya-Migrants-Rescue)

KABUL — At least 16 Afghan security force members were killed in two separate attacks in the country’s western province of Badghis Sunday night, reported local media Tolo News TV on Monday.
