Easter was all about giving, the ability to put a smile on the faces of those who cannot afford a smile and one of those who supported the Joy fm Soup Kitchen held at the children’s Park on Sunday 8th April 2012 was Aphro pop artiste and guitar man Hans Bekx.

The guitar man, Hans Bekx together with his management Kojons Multi Media supported the event that brought together thousands of street kids within the city (Joyfm soup Kitchen) under one umbrella with items costing GHC500.

Hans Bekx in doing the donation on Saturday, 7th of April 2012 at the premises of Joyfm to Nathaniel Attoh of the Joy sports desk, said that, ‘He can afford to celebrate Easter the way he wants but what about the little street boy who came to the city for greener pastures or that young woman who sleeps by the road side because there is no place to sleep, no food to eat and so on, they can’t afford to celebrate Easter the way they want, so hence the need to support them to smile.

‘When I heard about the Joy fm soup kitchen which targeted the street kids, I decided to help by putting a smile on the faces of innocent street children and tell them there will be a ‘Brita Dae’ someday hence they should keep on keeping’, Hans Bekx mentioned.

He maintained: ‘ even though I did not have the chance to sing my new single – ‘Brita Dae’ to the street kids, I was humbled to be part of the event that also saw the likes of Ex-President John A. kuffour among other top dignitaries supporting the same worthy course’.

In his final words, Hans Bekx thanked Joy99.7fm for such a good concept and hoped that it will be turned from an annual event to quarterly event but in all the idea is a good one and anytime they will do it Hans Bekx will be glad to support in any way.
