The call by the General Overseer of the Kwabenya Bethel Ministry in the Greater Accra Region, Prophet Douglas Nana Tih, that Christians should avoid buying the so-called anointing oils and concoctions for solutions to their problems has been met with mixed reactions from some Christian faithful.

It would be recalled that Prophet Douglas Nana Tih in an interview with the Ghana News Agency last Tuesday lambasted some disguised ?men of God? who prepare some concoctions in the name of anointing oil to swindle their congregation into believing that their problems would be solved through that adding that; ?Jesus did not sell any anointing oil to any of his followers.?
Prophet Nana Tih advised Christians to beware of these false preachers and should always study the Bible to guide them in their lives so as to avoid the temptations of the evil ones.

In a quick rebuttal however, some Christians who patronize the anointing oil in an interview with Today strongly slammed Prophet Douglas Nana Tih for making such disparaging remarks about the oil, arguing that ?looking at the numerous spiritual problems the anointing oil had solved in the country Nana Tih should be the last person to chastise the anointing oils.?

They argue that the usage of oil in the Holy Scriptures is there for all to see and verify and could therefore not fathom why someone who calls himself a man of God would speak against its usage.

?My brother we want to make it clear to you today that we find it extremely difficult to understand the Prophet; let me let you know for a fact that these anointing oils or concoctions as you may call it are good? they help us fight negative spiritual forces,?? Madam Akua Sarah Sarfo told Today.
