Andre Ayew admits he is one of the players at Swansea City who need to step up their game to rescue the club from their stuttering form.

The Swans have gone six games without a win since their impressive start to the season.

Garry Monk will be leading his team to face Aston Villa who are also enduring a poor run of results on Saturday as they look to rebound from their shocking home defeat to Stoke City on Monday night.

Monk had conceded that some of his leading performers at the club ? including Ayew ? have been struggling to rediscover their hot form at the start of the campaign.

Ayew, a big name signing on a free from Olympique Marseille this summer has accepted this challenge and says he needs to up his game to help the side return to their best form.

?Some players need to take some responsibility for us to get back to the winning ways and I am one of those players,? Ayew told Swansea TV ahead of their trip to Aston Villa.

?And I know that we need to continue working hard, to do my best so that we can get back to winning ways.

?We have great players in the squad who are going to help to get back to our best form.?
