Swansea have no concerns over the fitness of star player Andre Ayew, who played fully for Ghana in midweek, amid fear of him carrying an injury ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth.

Ayew was reported to have picked up a knee injury during the 0-0 draw with Comoros Island on Friday which prompted fears for the Swans.

Although the problem was addressed, it still required him playing in the second-leg match in Kumasi showing that he will be ready for Swansea for their English Premier League match this weekend.

Swansea were hoping that Ayew would be rested for the re-match with Comoros Island, but was not ans he helped Ghana to the 2-0 win to reach the group phase of the 2018 World Cup.

Swans boss Garry Monk’s anxious wait is over and as his star forward will return injury free ahead of this weekend’s massive game against Bournemouth.

The clash with the Cherries is one Monk cannot afford to lose and Ayew will be central to his plans as he looks for a way to pick up a crucial three points.
