*as omnious dark cloud hangs on Andy Uba, Ukachukwu

Baring any other antics or political jigsaw puzzle, the governorship
primary to elect the governorship flagbearer fort the Peoples?
Democratic Party, (PDP) holds this morning in Awka.
Already there are indications that the Ejike Oguebego faction known to
be loyal to Chief Chris Uba and his elder brother, Senator Andy Uba
and Chief Patrick Sule Ugboma has before now slated theirs for the
Emmaus House premises, Awka.

But the faction loyal to the PDP headquarters and led by Prince Ken
Emeakayi has fixed theirs for the Dr Alex Ekwueme Square, also in Awka
for 10 am today.

This confirmation was made by the state Publicity Secretary, Ngozi
Agudosi. He assured that all arrangement for a hitch-free primary have
been made.

Agudosi urged all the elected delegates and statutory delegates
including the aspirants to play by the rules. He wants everyone to
adhere to the rules of live and let live maxim of democracy.

There was however a eerie silence over the decision of the party?s
National Executive Committee (NEC) and the National Working
Committee(NWC) on the alleged display of violence and thuggery by the
supporters of Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu. Also what the party come up
with over the actions or inactions of the Ubas. It was revealed that
the Anambra matter was discussed extensively in the party?s top
hierarchy meeting that went into the night Thursday.

A source disclosed that even the party big wigs spoke from both sides
of their mouths for obvious hand-in-gloves acts that made them lose
faces and strong voices in condemning the prolonged obvious
wrong-doings going on in Anambra state. The source also disclosed the
party would likely from Walter Ubaka Okeke, Akachukwu Nwankpo, , Tony
Nwoye, Obinna Uzor and Nicholas Ukachukwu. It was revealed that
Senator Uba?s penchant for doing things his own way may have made him
lose face and sympathy at both the party and within the electorates in
the state. They recollected how hard it was for him to win his
Senatorial seat which was just a third fraction of the state, let
alone the entire state.

Already the list of the Primary Committee has been published and
circulated in the national dailies by the National Organizing
Secretary of the PDP Alh Hamisu Yusuf.

It was doubtful if the Uba faction would work with any of the
committee members or would procure their own committee members.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday in Awka
unveiled the former Anambra governor, Senator Chris Ngige as its
standard bearer for the forthcoming Nov 16, 2013 Anambra state
governorship election.

The event which took place at the Emmaus House Premises, Awka, saw
leaders of the party invade the state capital from all parts of the
country.

In their separate speeches, the party chiefs said that the election
will be a test and show of strength and popularity for the party to
win Anambra landslide
