Girl, 18, is Britain’s youngest truck driver

An 18-year-old girl has become Britain’s youngest qualified truck driver after landing herself a HGV license.

Jess Stubbs has followed in the footsteps of her 24-year-old sister Lucy and father Graham by taking to trucking all over the world after landing herself a HGV license, and she loves the unpredictability that comes with the job.

She is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “The best part of the job is never knowing where you’re going to go – it can be anywhere in the country.

“One day you’re in Scotland surrounded by breath-taking views, the next you’re on the south coast.”
