The NPP says all is set for the “Gargantuan” rally scheduled for Saturday at James Town Mantse Agbona.

The rally is meant to outdoor the party’s Greater Accra Parliamentary candidates for the December general elections.

Former President John Agyekum Kuffour and the NPP Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo Addo are among party bigwigs billed to address the rally.

Michael Ampong, the NPP Greater Accra regional Communications Director told Citi News the Saturday rally will begin a series of lined up activities that will help the party win majority of the Parliamentary seats in the region come December2012.

“I believe strongly that the rally will be a demonstration that the people of the Greater Accra Region for that matter Ghanaians are highly angry with this incompetent government and they agitating for its early exit. ”

“Preparations are very high and virtually all the constituencies have hoisted the party flags and other paraphernalia as if the rally is coming on today,” he added.

However, Mr. Ade Coker, the NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman says the party is not perturbed about the NPP’s planned rally.

He is optimistic that the NDC will sweep all the Parliamentary seats in the region come December.

“We have got our own agenda and we are working towards that so at the appropriate time you will see the NDC in Greater Accra in full gear; we are not perturbed at all. ”

He maintained, “We are confident that come December, 7 2012 by 10 o’clock when the results start coming in you will see that the NDC in Greater will add more seats to what we already have. ”
