Duncan celebrates with Livorno team-mates in Friday's win over Brescia

Duncan Stars As Livorno Win To Get Automatic Serie A Promotion Back On Track

Ghana youth star Alfred Duncan was involved in full-time action for Livorno as helped them get their promotion ambitions back on track after brushing aside Brescia 3-0 in a Serie B game on Friday.

The Ghana U20 influential midfielder, on loan from Inter Milan, played in a holding midfield role for Davide Nicola?s side at the Stadio Armando Picchi as Federico Dionisi scored in the 58th minute to add to a Luca Belingheri first-half double to give Livorno a priceless victory over sixth-placed Brescia.

Duncan played a key role, providing a crusting shield in front of the central defence.

Livorno were toppled from the second spot by a consistent Hellas Verona side but the victory on Friday has taken La Amaranto back to second place.

However, they could overtake Livorno again if they manage to beat Juve Stabia in an away fixture at the Stadio Comunale Romeo Menti.

Friday?s impressive showing from Duncan capped his 18th game of the campaign for his loan side in the Italian second-tier.
