Alexis Miranda Foundation (AMF), a US-based Non-Profit Organisation, celebrated Christmas early with the special Children of New Horizon special School, throwing a party for them.

New Picture (3)The event counts as second, a Christmas party sponsored by AMF was the biggest event of the year for the children of New Horizon and may even be the only party for them during the impending festivities.

AMF was established to help increase Autism awareness globally and to support families and providers of children with learning disabilities. AMF is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families impacted by Autism and other disabilities. The goal of the foundation is to provide comprehensive professional services to children who are affected and help them reach their maximum potential and thrive in their communities. The organization helps families with advocacy, educational, therapeutic and recreational programs.

There were lots to eat and drink for everyone, fresh juices, flour chips, Jollof rice and chicken.
The children danced their hearts out and sang along to tunes of Ghanaian music and Christmas carols, a situation that saw them happy.

An astonished Mrs. Vanessa Adu-Akorsa, Principal of New Horizon Special School, stated that Mrs. Lynn Dadzie-Yeboah, was truly committed to children with special needs, saying her kind was rare.
According to her, the school authorities as well as the teachers were amazed at the constant flow of commitment which does not come often.

Mrs. Adu-Akorsa posited that people give out what they do not want but Mrs. Lynn Dadzie-Yeboah, gives out what she does for her children.

She disclosed that, though it is Mrs. Dadzie-Yeboah decision to make donations to the school, she still seeks advice from authorities of New Horizon on what would be appropriate and then come with them.

The Principal believes the children would go home with fond memories of the party thrown for them.

Few hours after the party ended, the love shared during the party was felt in various homes of those special children, with a parent calling to express his appreciation to Alexis Miranda Foundation, sponsor of the Christmas party.
