Agogo still battling Zamalek over compensation at FIFA

Junior Agogo still in legal tussle with Zamalek

By Ameenu Shardow

Lawyers of Ghanaian striker Junior Agogo insists they are still in a legal tussle with Egyptian club Zamalek.

The 33-year-old was last month reported to have lost the FIFA suit against the White Knights.

Agogo argues he is entitled to compensation following the termination of his contract with Zamalek in 2009.

However the Cairo giants last month reported on their official website they have won the legal tussle against the ex Nottingham Forest hitman.

But lawyers of Agogo say the matter is yet to be concluded at FIFA.

?We are still in the legal tussle with Zamalek and FIFA has not ruled on the matter,? the UK-based legal representative for Agogo Mariam al Rashid told

?The issue reported in the Arabia media about the case being concluded is not true. We are still waiting for FIFA to conclude investigations.?

Agogo joined Zamalek in 2008 after an impressive Nations Cup debut with the Black Stars.

He however failed to settle in well in Egypt leading to the eventual termination of his contract and has since mounted failed attempts to revive his career with Apollon Limassol and Hibernian.
