?Alfred Agbesi Woyome has for the second time turned down an invitation by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to assist in the deliberations regarding the payment of the controversial GH? 51 million judgment debt.?

The invitation letter signed by the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Honourable Albert Kan Dapaah, stated that;??I write to invite you to attend upon the Public Accounts Committee on Thursday, 23rd August 2012 at l0:00am at the New Parliamentary Office Complex (Committee Rooms 1-31, Parliament House) to assist the Committee in its deliberations on the payment of Judgment Debt to you by the Government of Ghana.

It continued to state that, Alfred Agnesi Woyome is also reminded to furnish the Committee with all documents pertaining to the payment of the Judgment Debt by close of work on Wednesday, 22 of August 2012.

But in reply to this invitation signed by Oseawuo Chambers & Co, the solicitors of Mr. Woyome said they are ?unable to advise our client to accede to your request and or demand.??

According to their letter,??The subject matter including the issues you seek to raise and or discuss or interrogate our client on is pending before the High Court(Criminal Division), High Court ( Commercial-Civil),Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court for adjudication and or determination. As such the matter
is still SUB JUDICE.?

?Besides, much as we do not doubt your constitutional mandate under Article 187(5,6) of the 1992 Constitution, we do not think those clauses give you the right to raise questions or discuss matters which are currently pending before all the Superior Courts such as this instant one,
for adjudication.

?To do otherwise will amount to an interference with the exercise of the judicial functions of the Superior Court Judges handling the matter in the said courts.”
