The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) Industrialization, Science, Technology and Innovation Hub (NISTIH) and other African partners including Namibia’s National Commission on Research Science and Technology will hold a continental seminar in Windhoek on May 24-26.
Nepad’s PR and Marketing Manager Robert Muyanga on Friday in a statement said high on the agenda at the seminar will be to explore the Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy for Africa (STISA-2024) Implementation guide and the need for indicators for tracking the performances of such a continental strategy.
Muyanga said the African Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (ASTII), Southern African Bioscience Network for Biosciences (SANBio), Science Granting Councils (SGCs) Initiatives programs will also be present at the event.
“The overall goals of ASTII is to contribute to improving the quality of Science Technology Innovations (STI) at national, regional and continental levels. This initiative started with 19 African participating countries and so far 40 African countries have been trained by April 2017,” he added.
Meanwhile at the event a road map of the 3rd African Innovation Outlook shall be presented. Enditem
