MNet is proud to announce that DStv’s new premium Africamagic channel 128, Africamagic Entertainment, will be premiering the Ghanaian production, Adams Apples, created and directed by Shirley Frimpong-Manso and produced by Ken Attoh today the 17th of April at 8.30pm.

The storyline follows the lives of the four “Adams” Ghanaian women; the widowed, ex-diplomat’s wife and her three daughters in their early and mid thirties. They work through domestic struggles, family life and personal battles to achieve success and happiness in a fast changing 21st century Ghana where love can elude the hopeless romantic, victory can scorn the hardworking and marriage can be an illusion. The Adams’ seek all these and more from life and each other.

The cast features many talented Ghanaian actors including Joselyn  Dumas,  Kweku Sintim Misa, Naa Ashorkor , Yvonne Okoro , Anima Misa Amoah and John Dumelo.

This has stimulated phenomenal growth and interest and has inspired M-Net to further expand its AfricaMagic channel offering to meet its viewers increased demand for content made in Africa for Africa.

As a result, M-Net has developed the AfricaMagic channels further to ensure that audiences get the best possible selection of African programming available under one brand.

What are the revised AfricaMagic channels?

AfricaMagic World (channel 112): A channel created to introduce new AfricaMagic viewers to a variety of African programming! Formerly the MagicWorld channel, this general entertainment channel offers a wide range of African programming to audiences including re-screenings of series and movies that they may not have had the opportunity to view previously.AFRICAMAGIC (channel 114):  A ‘family friendly’ African entertainment channel with programming that can be watched and enjoyed by everyone in your home!  AfricaMagic will feature family focused movies, series, sitcoms and documentaries that you can watch with your parents or your children. This will ensure that no-one in your home will miss out on great African entertainment!

·         AfricaMagic Movies (channel 115):   A channel for movie audiences who want to celebrate the vibrant legacies and traditions of Africa! From African heritage to village life, this 24-hour dedicated movie channel tells stories that relate to Africa’s rich history and cultural legacy from traditional practices to rural society. AfricaMagic Entertainment (channel 128):   A brand-new, stylish African entertainment channel for the bold viewer who wants to watch the best African TV programming available!
