Safo Antwi, who switched nationality to run for Ghana, will compete in the 100m race and the Men’s relay team whilst Flings owusu-Agyepong, Persis William-Mensah and Gemma Acheampong would compete in the female category.

Emmanuel Dasor, 400 metres runner also qualified for the 200m, with Flings Owusu-Agyepong and Janet Amponsah making up the list of qualified athletes in the female category, whilst Vivian Mills and Alex Amankwah met the requirement for the 400m and 800m respectively.

In other events, Elizabeth Dadzie qualified for the 100m Hurdle, Hepthalon and Long Jump, with Jordan Yamoah qualifying for the Pole Vault.

Abigail Kwarteng and Regina Yeboah qualified for the High Jump and Nadia Eke and Deborah Acquah for the Triple Jump category.

John Ampomah and Mary Zuta are the athletes for for Javelin Throw, whilst Julia Agawu qualified for the Discus Throw and Atsu Nyamadi for the Decathalon.

Meanwhile, three athletes will be selected from this pool for the Men’s relay 4X100 team. The athletes include Shadrack Opoku-Agyemang, Desmond Aryee, Martin Owusu-Antwi, Allah Laryea Akrong, Stephen Opoku, and Shepherd Agbeko whilst Beatrice Gyaman, Dorcas Gyimah, Josephine Anokye, Kate Agyemang could be selected to join the qualified athletes in the Women100m race.

Athletes for the 4X400 relay pool team are Daniel Gyasi, Samuel Yaro, Kwadwo Acheampong, Sampson Laari, whilst the women include Akua Obeng-Akrofi, Bless Dupeh, Agnes Abrocquah, Shawkia Iddrisu and Agnes Abu.

The final selection for the relay team will be determined on Saturday, June 11 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium for the finals of the National Circuit Championship.
