An Afghan army officer in Australia for an Australian government sponsored training course has gone missing.

The unnamed soldier, last seen in they foyer of his Sydney hotel on August 9, was to attend a Defense-sponsored training course at the Asia Pacific Centre for Military Law under the defence co-operation program.

The alert was raised when the officer failed to attend the first morning of the training workshop on August 10.
A defense spokesperson told Xinhua on Tuesday evening he has not been found and the matter has been referred to the relevant authorities. Enditem
