The International Star for Quality in Leadership Award, Gold Category, was conferred on the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) last week at the 16th Business Initiative Directors (BID) 2012 International Quality Awards held in Paris, France.

The award was conferred on the bank for outstanding business achievements, for perseverance and leadership in excellence and quality, and also on the basis of meeting the International Leadership in Quality Award (ISLQ) regulations and criteria of the QC 100 Total Quality Management Model.

In presenting the award to ADB, B.I.D said it recognised the bank?s commitment and adherence to the seven principles of the QC 100 Total Quality Management Model.

These cover quality as a consequence of valuing customer satisfaction and obtaining positive business results; meeting the quality levels set by the QC 100 Points of Quality; encouragement of participatory team work in decision making; satisfying the needs of clients and meeting their expectations; providing human resources to achieve maximum potential; and making employees focus on the most profitable areas of activity to achieve the best business results.

The prestigious B.I.D Global Convention has over the last 26 years awarded several companies in several award shows hosted in over 100 countries.

This year, B.I.D International Star Awards for Quality were conferred on various companies and organisations from over 57 countries around the world for organisational and business achievements in quality and excellence.
