syndicate block

Mr Kpordzih hands over the keys to IGP Mohammed Alhassan and ADB boss unveiling the plague

THE AGRICULTURAL Development Bank (ADB) has handed over the keys to a fully-renovated and refurbished 12-room syndicate block at a cost GH?94,000 to the Ghana Police Command and Staff College at Winneba at a short ceremony on Friday.

This followed a request made by the Ghana Police Command and Staff College for the Agricultural Development Bank to assist in the renovation of the block which had deteriorated.

Stephen Kpordzih, Managing Director of ADB explained the Bank?s commitment to supporting social causes as it was designed to help add to development in the society.

?ADB was adjudged the Best Corporate Social Responsible Bank at the last Banking Awards and our continuous support for the many social causes such as this is hinged on the fact that we at ADB do not only look at the short-run financial returns in our day-to-day operations. We believe that by committing part of our profit to worthy causes such as this will help build a ?feel good? atmosphere among not only members of the communities in which we operate, but also among our workforce who feel proud knowing that they are helping contribute to community empowerment and growth,? Mr. Kpordzih said.

?ADB?s ability to support many social projects also plays a role in building customer loyalty and we would continue to support such causes which will benefit the wider public at large,? Mr. Kpordzih added as he handed over the keys to the refurbished block.

The Managing Director of ADB also underscored the importance of the Ghana Police in sustaining the country?s development agenda.

Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan, the Inspector General of Police, commended ADB for responding to the Police Service?s request and urged other corporate bodies to emulate the Agricultural Development Bank?s gesture.

He assured the Board, Management and Staff of the Bank that the newly renovated and refurbished syndicate block would be put to good use and properly maintained.
