The Management of Cool FM has agreed to support the Miss Nigeria 2013 Miss Ezinne Anyaoha in her pet project.
This was made known on Wednesday by Onimisi Adaba the Coordinating Manager of World Entertainment TV Ltd when the Miss Nigeria organisation paid a courtesy call to the station to say thank you for sponsoring the pageant that had its grand finale on July 6.
Onimisi, who said that the highlight of the occasion for him was bringing the first ever Miss Nigeria (Miss Nigeria 1957) Chief Grace Oyelude to crown the 2013 Queen, also said that for the Queen in pursuing her Pet Project which is on sexual violence some element of self defence should be introduced to enable women protect themselves.
He said the reason why sexual violence persists is because the society and men folk have failed to do what they are supposed to do.
His words: ?Why would a guy want to sexually abuse a girl? That is because he was not well trained. If the guy is trained right he wouldn?t want to go and abuse another girl. Fathers have failed and so has society.
?Women have been blessed with a lot of wonderful gifts which one of them is the ability to multi task. They can do so many things at the same time whereas the men cannot hence women are actually the stronger sex and not the weaker sex like they are referred to.?
Onimisi, however, said he was happy that the Queen has chosen this project and that Cool FM, Wazobia FM and the baby station, 99.3 Nigeria Info will support the Queen all the way on this project by offering special services for the achievement of the project.
He urged the Queen to work hard to leave her footprints on the sands of time so that one day she can be celebrated like Chief Oyelude.
The Queen in her remarks said she is determined to make a difference in the life of Nigerian women and she is going to use the Miss Nigeria Platform to see that sexual violence is a thing of the past.
