The Managing Director for Access Bank Ghana, Mr. Dolapo Ogundimu says the?two-day subsidiaries retreat the Bank held put it at a position to?further grow within their various markets.

The event which attracted Managing Directors and Top Management members from eight countries within the Access Bank Group, will enable the Bank increase its share of the Retail Banking market, roll out an imitative to advance women?s development, support more SMEs and leverage technology to give its customers and enjoyable banking experience.

According to Mr. Dolapo Ogundimu, the retreat has provided a platform for interaction that is necessary for organisational cohesion and a better appreciation of group expectations.

The retreat, which was attended by about seventy executives, set the tone for all subsidiaries of the Bank to follow the leadership steps exhibited by the parent company in Nigeria to join the league of top tier Banks in all its markets.

On his part, the Group Deputy Managing Director, of the Access Bank Group Obinna Nwosu, stated that Access Bank?s leadership position has been authenticated by global rating agencies which has enabled the Bank to form several strategic alliances with multi-lateral financial institutions around the world.

He averred that the establishment of a representative office in China, is consistent with their strategy to take their services beyond Africa and to guarantee the kind of growth and sustainability they needed to build an African powerhouse capable of competing in the global market place.

Access Bank Plc has expanded its global footprint in the last 10 years beyond Nigeria and now has presence in Ghana, the Gambia, DR Congo, Rwanda, Zambia, the United Kingdom and more recently in China.
