AC Milan have contacted Genoa over the availability of Ghana midfielder Isaac Cofie.

The 22-year-old who is co-owned by Genoa and Chievo Verona has excelled this season in Serie-B.

Genoa have been in talks with Chievo in their bid to take full ownership of the Ghana international.

Both teams have however failed to reach an agreement over a deal.

Milan?s inquiry comes as a third party as Genoa and Chievo remain deadlocked in negotiations over the future of Cofie.

A move to Milan is not immediately on the cards until the full ownership of the Ghanaian is secured.

Cofie will become the third Ghanaian to join the Rossoneri in the event the remote move is secured.

He will follow Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari to have played for the former Italian champions.
