Sadeeq Abdulai Abu , celebrated host and co-executive producer of music TV show 30minitz, is set to end his hosting and production duties on the show as he takes up a new role as Head of Own Productions at Viasat1.

Sadeeq?s last appearance on 30minitz will be on October 26, 2013.

In his absence, Akosua Hanson, a presenter at Citi FM and younger sister of artiste manager Bull Dog will be holding the forte with Lokita, pending the search for a new substantive male host. He will, however, maintain his stake in the show and its allied properties.

He has hosted and produced the show from its onset, guiding and helping to properly position 30minitz as the most preferred music TV show attracting business from established brands seeking to communicate to the youth.

Sadeeq goes into his new role with varied experiences in the Ghanaian media and entertainment industry and is expected to lead Viasat1?s strategic audience acquisition efforts through its own productions. His role includes serving as a production executive of all of the networks of Own Productions, including The One Show, This morning, Boys Boys, Born Stars etc.

His experiences include working on productions for MTV Base, Metro TV and countless commercial productions. He also worked as content producer at Multimedia Broadcasting Limited, owners of Joy FM and Hitz FM.

He has also worked on the One8 project executed by Rockstar4000 for Airtel, 020live and numerous other entertainment & marketing projects.

He was, until recently, the executive producer and producer of 30minitz and FashionGh respectively. Sadeeq was a co-executive producer of the first season of Bedroom Diaries of a Black Woman which also aired on Viasat1. Sadeeq also managed Dancehall act Kaakie. Alongside Jam Master Jay and the Xtra Large team, Sadeeq successfully guided Kaakie?s career, overseeing the successful release of several singles which got her several nominations and Awards including two Ghana Music Awards, one of which sparked controversy involving Shatta Wale. He has also seen to the launch and execution of a nationwide tour Kaakit Up tour which is nearing completion and a Maternal Health campaign. He will however stay on till after the release of Kaakie?s debut album later in the month.

Sadeeq attended the Ghana National College in Cape-Coast and the African University College of Communications (AUCC) in Accra where he acquired a diploma and a degree in Media & Communications Studies.
