Some of the missing children

FIFTEEN CHILDREN, whose ages range from six to 14, are reported missing, DAILY GUIDE has been told.

These missing children claim they hail from places like the Eastern, Western Upper East and Upper West regions.

The missing children were picked from the streets by the police and some Good Samaritans.

They have since been kept at the Kumasi Children?s Home as plans are being made to reunite them with their parents and family members.

Supervisor of the Kumasi Children?s Home, Victoria Asugnya, said the number of missing children brought to her outfit, had increased to 15 within the past six months.

According to her, frantic efforts are being made by the home and other stakeholders to locate the families of the missing children.

She said the children during an interview gave inconsistent narrations making it difficult for their families to be located.

Madam Asugnya said the presence of the 15 children at the home for the past six months is having an effect on the coffers of the home.

According to her, the home was expending colossal sum of money to take proper care of the children.

She appealed to people whose children have been missing for the past six months to visit the Kumasi Children?s Home for identification.
