The Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Baobab Advisors, Ms. Abena Amoah — one of Ghana’s leading investment bankers and financial advisors — will address the Ghana Economic Forum scheduled for May 3, 2012 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

The Ghana Economic Forum will assemble key industry chieftains, senior level decision makers in public & private sector organisations in the country and development partners to engage in discussions centred on how Ghana can sustain the macroeconomic gains made in recent times, and also the strategy to sustain the growth.

This year’s theme is premised on the fact that development of Ghana’s economy hinges on three critical pillars: people, systems and technology.

The greatest asset in any economy is its people; but no matter how talented the people are, the lack of appropriate systems and technology can pose serious challenges. Hence, the theme “integrating people, systems and technologies for sustainable economic development” will be the focal point of discourse.

Thematic areas to be covered will include what to do to unlock Ghana’s human capital in education, skills development, job-creation and poverty reduction; rethinking the country’s systems for improved productivity at all levels, as well as utilising technology to drive intermediary businesses in both public and private sector organisations amongst others.

Ms. Amoah is an accomplished investment banker, leading as originator, financial advisor and stockbroker to many landmark transactions on the Ghanaian capital markets in the last 14 years, and will bring these experiences to bear at the revered Ghana Economic Forum.
