Taylor Swift made a video call to a terminally ill fan after her father posted her “wishes” on Facebook.

Meghan Hils, 18, from Cincinnati, was born with a heart defect known as pulmonary atresia.

She has already undergone five open-heart surgeries.

After her condition “worsened rapidly” her dad explained she qualified for help from Dream Foundation, a wish group for terminally ill adults, and wanted to speak to Taylor Swift.
However, he said she never thought it would happen.

“You can list two possible wishes,” wrote Daniel Hils.

“Meghan wanted a phone call or a video chat with Taylor Swift, but reasoned that she is so popular currently there would be little if any chance of her being reached.

“Instead she requested a call or video chat with Ellen Degeneres or Jimmy Fallon.”

He added: “We have not heard anything from the Dream Foundation on Meghan’s wishes.
“If you would be kind enough to share this, my hope is that someone that knows someone will get Meghan one more star under her belt.”

After more than 2,500 shares of the post Daniel got a call from Taylor’s management telling him to expect a call from the singer.
In a post about the conversation, Meghan wrote: “The words thank you will never be enough to say to Taylor Alison Swift for this day and taking the time to video chat with me for 29 mins.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
The call came on the same night as the singer donated $5,000 (£3,800) to the family of a women who died in a car crash earlier this month.

Katie Beth Carter’s sister set up the page to “help cover medical expenses and the cost of her arrangements”.

With the help of Taylor’s donation, they have exceeded the $30,000 (£22,500) target.
