A six-day training workshop for 70 master beauticians and hair dressers in the Eastern Region to help them improve their business skills has opened at Koforidua.

The workshop, organized by the National Association of Beauticians and Hair Dressers (NABH), is sponsored by the Skills Development Fund (SDF).

Speaking at the workshop Mrs Joyce Lamptey, National President of NABH, said the training was to enable members of the Association to manage their businesses to expand and employ more hands.

She said 490 members of the Association throughout the country would be trained with the exception of those in the Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions who are scheduled for the next call of the scheme.

Madam Abena Otu, Managing Director of EDC Consultancy Limited who are in-charge of the training, said the participants would be trained in entrepreneurship, business planning, women in business, costing and other courses that would enhance their business management skills. GNA
