But mom-of-one Pamela Jacobs, from Leeds, England, isn?t complaining about appearing three decades younger than 52, her actual age. In a July 6 article in the UK Daily Mail, she shares the lifestyle habits she believes have helped her slow the effects of time. ?I?m not perfect and have flaws like everyone else but I am grateful for what I do have,? Jacobs told the Daily Mail.

Part of her secret comes down to a few easy beauty routines?such as moisturizing twice a day with organic coconut oil, exfoliating every other day, and never leaving the house without sunscreen. These three routines are pretty minimal, but dermatologists say they really can take years off a woman?s appearance.

?Men do comment on my looks and say things like ?I don?t believe you? or ?You must be lying,? Pamela explained. ?I always say, ?what woman would actually add years on??

But what?s her secret to turning back the clock? Besides good genes and maintaining a healthy diet, Pamela believes that always applying sunscreen before leaving the house and her obsession with coconut oil have both helped her remain looking and feeling youthful. Pamela says that she uses coconut oil for everything, including salad dressing, sweetener in her coffee, removing makeup, hair treatments, and body moisturizer.

?I?m a big coconut oil lover,? Pamela said. ?My mother used it on our hair and skin when we were younger and I?ve carried on.?

Besides eating lots of coconut oil, Pamela says that she avoids wheat products because of how bloated she feels and high sugar fruits. But everything else is fair game.

?I follow the 80/20 rule,? Pamela revealed. ?80 percent eating well and 20 percent sneaking in the odd dessert, a little alcohol or organic dark chocolate.?

As far as exercise goes, Pamela is all about yoga sessions and body conditioning classes, often followed by steam room and sauna sessions. She believes that this particular fitness regimen keeps her skin glowing and feeling fresh.

?I love it?it makes me so feel invigorated and I?m convinced it has helped to tone my skin,? Pamela said about her workout routine. ?Then I will have 10 minutes in the steam and repeat the cold shower.?

She also credits her positive outlook on life to her outward youthfulness, which she believes is ultimately the thing that matters the most.

?I think the secret of eternal youth is to smile every day,? she says. ?The best thing about looking young is that it makes me feel good and gives me confidence.?
