Olleh Rwanda network (ORn) has inaugurated 4G Square in Kigali City which accommodates all 4G LTE internet providers. During the inauguration on Wednesday, 9 July 2015, oRn CEO, Patrick Yoon said ?We wanted to create a state-of-the-art facility where anyone can explore 4G LTE benefits beyond what people are used to.

More users will be able to experience 4G LTE and connect with business partners, friends or family in a friendly, fun, relaxing environment?. The Rwanda?s Minister of Youth and ICT, Jean Philbert Nsengimana said that 4G Square is designed as experience center where people will receive explanation regarding 4G LTE in Rwanda, and space for young innovators to learn and innovate.
Minister Nsengimana further stressed that the Government of Rwanda has brought partners and built internet infrastructures, then people have to use that opportunity and develop themselves.
The CEO of Rwanda Development Board, Francis Gatare emphasized that 4G Square was initiated not only to facilitate connectivity, but also to create a space for entrepreneurs.
4G LTE was launched in Rwanda in November 2014. So far 4G LTE is accessible in five cities across Rwanda: Kigali, Rubavu, Rusizi, Huye and Musanze, but there is a plan to extend its accessibility in other cities soon.

In May, 2015, Rwanda?s 4G LTE project scooped Global Telecom Business Innovation Award. Rwanda?s 4G LTE project was recognised for innovation in business model (Public Private Partnership), innovative market structure through single wholesale network, and speed of rollout across the country.

The network was established through an agreement between the Government of Rwanda and KT Corporation, South Korea?s largest telecommunications provider. The Network is expected to cover 95 per cent of the population by 2017.
