Governor Kashim Shettima of borno state has sworn in 24 State Commissioners that will complete his 4 years first tenure Wednesday yesterday after the Borno Sate House Assembly BOSHA had carried out its screening exercise of the commissioner nominees earlier forwarded to the house two weeks ago by the governor.

The sworn in bold and new state commissioners are also members of the State Executive Council, SEC who had appeared individually before the house for screening on Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th December, 2014.

Also sworn in are the newly appointed Chief of Staff to the Governor Hon. Musa Modu, Hon. Usman Chiroma who has been confirmed as the new Caretaker Chairman of the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council MMC and Alhaji Ibrahim Audu Miringa, the newly appointed Chairman, Borno State House of Assembly
Service Commission BSHASC.

In his remark, Governor Shettima enjoined them to work assiduously and repose the confidence government and their people have on them in the course of discharge of their duties and responsibilities while assuring the his government will continue to focus in the welfare of the civil servants and improve on the living condition of the people.

He also appealed for support and understanding in the trying moment of security challenges and parted for continuous peace in the state.

After the swearing ceremony, the governor went into close door meeting with the state commissioners/state Executive Council SEC as the first SEC meeting this year.
