He made the call at MTN Inter-Community soccer gala hosted in Tamale.

The one day soccer fiesta was dubbed: “Savana-Fest 2016” was aimed at enhancing peace and unity amongst the people in the area.

“MTN is also interested in making people have easy and fast access to the internet through its products like 4G, which enabled individuals and businesses among others, to have access to the internet at supersonic speed,“ Mr Agyei said

The 14 communities which participated in the competition are Nyansharu, Sanyani, Kukuo, Gumani, Aboabu, Sara Junction, Moshie Zongo, Ward K, Nyohini, Savelugu, GbaliKurani, Tishegu, Lamashegu and Baayanwaya communities in the Tamale Metropolis participated in the games.

Baayanwaya beat Nyansharu 2-0 in the grand finale to lift the trophy while Abdul Mummein of Baayanwaya, Nyohini’s Ibrahim Sherif and ZakariMuaz of Nyansharu won the Best Player, Best Goalkeeper and Goalking awards respectively.

As side attraction, Mr de Graft Archer, an ex-Sekondi Eleven Wise and Minestars Soccer Star, entertained the crowd with his ball juggling skills.

The 63-year old soccer gem won the admiration of the crowd and received a long standing ovation after his performance.
