It is the prize reward for winning an ‘Elective Mathematics’ quiz competition organized for schools in the Ashanti Region by “eSyllabus for Africa, an international NGO, with its headquarters in San Francisco, California, supported by the Ghana Education Service (GES).

Masters Paul Adu Boafo of the Ware School and Gayheart Lawoe Mawuena of the KNUST SHS, competed with other 48 students.

Mr. Henry Howard, Director of the NGO, said the pair, would each US$4,000.

The organization is already providing financial assistance to about 80 students in various tertiary institutions across the nation.

Mr. Howard said their goal was to aid the development of education.
