At least two people were killed and six other were injured on Thursday in a suicide bomb attack at a marketplace in Sadr City neighborhood in eastern the Iraqi capital Baghdad, a police source said.

The attack took place in the evening when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest at a popular market in Sadr City neighborhood, Ihsan Ali from Baghdad police told Xinhua.

The toll could rise as ambulances and civilian cars evacuated the killed and wounded people to several nearby hospitals and medical centers in the city, the source added. Enditem
