Some 172 members of the National Association of Beauticians and Hairdressers(NABH) in Begoro and Kpong have completed 20 days? training programme to upgrade their skills.


The programme was sponsored by the Council for Vocation and Technical Education and Training (COTVET) through its Skills Development Fund (SDF).

One-hundred and fifty members of the Association were trained at Begoro and 22 at Kpong.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the programme at Begoro, the National President of NABH, Mrs Joyce Lamptey, said as the economy grew clients had become sophisticated and therefore hairdressers and beauticians needed to regularly upgrade their skills.

Mrs Lamptey expressed appreciation to COTVET for the support and urged the participants in the programme to impact what they had learnt to expand their business.
